SRG Software Update - June, 2020

While many industry sectors are struggling through the economic impact of the global pandemic, we are extremely grateful to be at the intersection of healthcare and digital enablement, which are among the very few growing sectors at this time.

Since our April 2020 update, we have several new projects underway. We have started four new U.S. healthcare customer relationships and associated projects with the following characteristics:

  • Venous wound care management mobile and web applications platform development

  • Neurology stroke consultation documentation and workflow management web applications development

  • Hospital burn unit qualification and verification platform web applications development

  • Care management platform technical assessment consulting engagement

U.S. Tech Shortage
According to a recent survey, tech talent shortages may be at its highest level since 2008. One recent survey found that 65% of global CIO’s felt that a shortage of talent was holding their organization back. The overall lack of supply of software developers in the U.S. is driving the need for off-shore development resources and virtual teams.

SRG Virtual Teams
Clients turning to SRG are confident moving to and/or expanding their off-shore development with us because our experienced virtual teams have been successfully working remotely for more than 20 years. Our established processes provide seamless coordination with our clients. Also, our integrated teams based in Minneapolis and Portugal offer highly available points of contact in U.S. time zones with no language or cultural barriers. SRG’s growing team of over 70 developers, designers, business analysts, project managers, quality assurance specialists, and other experts is helping organizations flexibly ramp up and down staff based upon project size and budgets.

Our no-shore model is proving to offer the best of both worlds - best of class quality combined with cost-effective technical solutions.

VIRTUALIZED HEALTHCARE

Patient care organizations around the U.S. are experiencing a surge of virtual care visits in response to COVID-19. According to the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, the telehealth revenue market could grow from $3 billion to $250 billion. Providers are rapidly scaling offerings and are seeing 50 to 175x the number of patients via telehealth than they did before. (Healthcare Innovation).

SRG is helping healthcare services organizations implement new capabilities in information exchange, and broadening access and integration of new and existing technology so that they can successfully rise to this unprecedented shift in patient care delivery modalities.

The good news is that there is positive potential impact in:

  • Improved convenience and access to care

  • Better patient outcomes

  • A more efficient healthcare system

SRG is successfully responding by helping healthcare organizations take action now and improve their future position for meeting these shifting demands.

PARTNERSHIP: COMMONWEALTH HEALTH ADVISORS

For the last two years, SRG Software has been in partnership with Commonwealth Health Advisors based in Boston, MA. Commonwealth is a high-quality boutique management consulting and advisory services firm focused on helping healthcare technology and services companies unlock their growth potential. They help healthcare business leaders and investors excel by developing and executing product strategies, improving marketing position, and accelerating growth.

SRG Software and Commonwealth complement each other as SRG Software provides technical consulting and software development services within the context of business strategies developed by Commonwealth for U.S. based healthcare technology and tech-enabled services companies. The partnership facilitates a holistic combined capability embodying strategy and implementation.

Additionally, SRG’s CEO, Dave Wesley, currently serves as Commonwealth’s Chief Technology Officer.

HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT: STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

SRG is not a “software body shop” with programmers for rent. We partner with our clients to understand their long term business strategy as well as their milestones and requirements at a deep level. This results in optimized communication efficiency and software development velocity.

Our collaborative and efficient process creates a coherent alliance where our clients don’t have to “hyper-specify” requirements. SRG customer partners attest to this - they tell us that our teams feel like they are on-site!

NEW LOCATION

We have expanded our Porto location to sunny Coimbra! Located between Porto and Lisbon, our new office allows for easy access from either the Porto or Lisbon airport.
