Our Story
Sursumcorda = Lift Up Your Heart
Dave Wesley, founder of Sursumcorda Resource Group (SRG), began his information technology career as a software developer with Accenture. This marked the start of his 30+ year IT career. SRG's name, Sursumcorda, is derived from a Latin musical term meaning "uplifting refrain." It reflects their approach to doing business, communicating with customers, and building software, resembling the coordination of talents in musical production.
2000: SRG is Founded
In 2000, leveraging his experience and network, Dave founded SRG in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The company's focus was on designing, developing, and implementing progressive software solutions for US-based organizations.
2012: Exploring Near-Shore Development
In 2012, SRG started to explore alternative near-shore sources of primary software development talent. Our goal was to build a world-class team that could offer high-quality skills with cultural and communicative symbiosis for U.S.-based customers at offshore rates.
2024: SRG and Redlight Software Formal Partnership
In 2024, SRG Software entered into a formal partnership agreement with RedLight Software. Our two companies have been working together for over 8 years and the formal partnership started an important new chapter for our teams and customer partners. With increased capacity, broader technical and domain expertise, and expanded timezone availability, we can take on larger projects while delivering extraordinary value to our customers.
2013: Relocation to Porto, Portugal
Dave and his family moved from Minneapolis to Porto, Portugal as he advanced SRG’s mission to create a more efficient offshore software development model. SRG merged offshore technical and design resources in Portugal with U.S.-based project management and execution resources to ensure clear communication and world-class quality software.
